Samarkand After Dark — 2 Days, 1 Night

See Samarkand in two different lights: Registan illuminated after sunset, then the major landmarks by day, with a relaxed overnight stay.

Some cities are worth seeing twice: once under the sun — and once after sunset. This experience is for travelers who have more time and prefer to discover Samarkand without rushing through everything in a single day.

Price is per private group, not per person. Hotel accommodation is paid separately — rooms may start from approx. $40 per night; the final price depends on the property, room type, date and availability. Your driver (and guide, if booked) arranges and pays for their own overnight accommodation.

Food is part of the journey: we stop at a good restaurant for lunch together. Restaurant meals are not included in the tour price — guests cover their own meal as well as the driver's and, when a professional guide is booked, the guide's lunch.

Your package includes an English-speaking driver (transport and local assistance). For deeper historical explanations of monuments, architecture and personalities, a professional local guide can be arranged separately from approx. $80.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    The journey & night Samarkand

    09:00–10:00 · Hotel pickup in Tashkent; comfortable private drive toward Samarkand
    Approx. 16:00 · Arrive in Samarkand, check in to your chosen hotel and rest
    Registan after dark — the illuminated architecture of Registan Square creates a completely different atmosphere. Walk around, enjoy the evening city and capture night photographs.
    Return to your hotel and rest for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Samarkand by day

    Wake up without the pressure of seeing the entire city in a few hours. The day may include Registan Square, Shah-i-Zinda, Bibi-Khanym, Siyob Bazaar, Ulugbek Observatory, Gur-e-Amir and Samarkand city.
    Lunch at a selected local restaurant, then the return journey begins.
